Full Stack .NET Developer

Full-time, permanent position

As a Full Stack .NET Developer, reporting to our Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for building web-based and mobile-based applications to make our platform better than ever.

In this role you will be exposed to a variety of assignments, responding to service requests, problem-solving, performing technical implementations, and working together with the team members to maintain, refactor, enhance, and customize the supported systems.

  • Contribute to the development of .NET projects, including cloud development using Azure services
  • Solid and creative contributions towards analysis, design, and implementation
  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Creates, reviews, and maintains all required technical documentation and manuals related to assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse
  • Creates and executes unit testing and integration testing ensuring the software meets requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience building web applications using the following: C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core MVC, JavaScript, jQuery
  • 4+ years of professional experience with MS SQL Server
  • 2+ years of professional experience building Mobile applications using Xamarin
  • Strong understanding of .NET Framework and .NET Core
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID Principles, and Design Patterns
  • Strong understanding of the web/mobile development cycle and programming techniques and tools
  • Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server
  • Hands-on experience of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Proficiency in working with Rest APIs
  • Experience with Azure cloud services
  • Familiar with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React OR Angular
  • Highly experienced with back-end programming
  • Excellent understanding of ORMs such as EF/EF Core
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Git
  • Familiar with CI/CD
  • Understanding of OAuth and OIDC

Product Manager

Full-time, permanent position

We are looking for a Product Manager with a proven track record of turning ideas into meaningful solutions, with experience in product management, ideally in a SaaS or similar industry.

This role will work closely with the Solutions Architect and Customer Success Manager

1. Establish the product/service strategy & roadmap and manage the product/service through its lifecycle:

  • Work with a variety of stakeholders, partners, and vendors to identify opportunities to improve products/services, implementation methodologies, and business processes
  • Assess product/service against industry competitors, and consider innovations implemented elsewhere
  • Conduct user surveys, and convene product/service user groups to collect, analyze, and prioritize potential enhancements
  • Develop and maintain product/service roadmaps identifying enhancements, supporting analysis, and implementation timelines, and work with internal and external teams to comply with roadmap
  • Participate in the development and execution of product business development and communication plans

2. Manage day-to-day business operations for the designated product(s) and/or services(s):

  • Lead and carry out activities related to ongoing client adoption, including engagement with internal/external delivery partners for deployment and client engagement
  • Provide day-to-day direction for product team and cross-departmental resources assigned to the designated product(s) and/or services(s)
  • Working closely with internal technical/solution partners, ensure appropriate service levels are monitored and vendor relationships are maintained
  • Ensure appropriate key performance indicators and operational business objectives are established and reported to various stakeholders
  • Lead benefits evaluation and research initiatives to demonstrate the ongoing value of the product/service

3. Transition SaaS projects to operational state:

  • Working closely with Solutions Architect, support the transition of initiatives from project state to business operations
  • Monitor adherence to corporate standard processes and policies
  • University degree/College diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in product management and/or project management role
  • 3 years experience with SaaS products, with a preference for line of business management
  • PMI, ITIL, and/or CPHIMS-CA designation(s) or actively working toward completion is an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the automotive industry
  • Experience with benefits evaluations, customer surveys, workshops and product strategy development
  • Experience with delivery in traditional or agile software development methodology
  • Well-developed consulting skills to gather information, achieve consensus and deliver quality solutions
  • Knowledge of project cost and financial management including planning, budgeting, controlling, administration and reporting
  • Able to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills, and able to present technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • In-depth working knowledge of a variety of computer software including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Project)

Tech Support

Full-time, on-site, permanent position

The Tech Support person is the first point of contact for related technical issues for our customers. Technical assistance is provided mostly over the phone and by email but periodically in person to ensure reliable operation of hardware and software for our customers. The Tech Support is a full-time permanent position in our Oakville headquarters with occasional travel to customer locations.

  • Assist clients with site planning and hardware configuration, installation and setup for A/V, media players, cabling and IT equipment.
  • End user hardware and software support for PCs, TVs, media players and network equipment for multiple clients across Canada.
  • Workstation and server support/maintenance, including hardware and software installations and troubleshooting for both PC and Mac.
  • Strong understanding and experience with VPNs, firewalls, routers, switches, peripherals and software knowledge required.
  • Experience with 365 and Active Directory.
  • Ensure all helpdesk calls are properly logged into Service Desk software and followed up in a timely manner to completion.
  • 3 years related work experience as an IT Installer/Tech Support with hands on experience supporting servers, routers, firewalls, LAN/WAN, VPNs and desktop equipment
  • Degree or College Diploma in a related field of Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with users of all skill levels to resolve technical issues to a successful outcome
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Servers, VMs, Hyper-V, Office 365 and Azure AD
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle is mandatory as travel within GTA is an occasional requirement

Content Writer

Full-time position

If you are a wordsmith that loves researching topics and creatively using keywords to write informative corporate content, we want to hear from you. As a Content Writer, reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for generating a range of content that supports the strategic and operational goals of the company. You will use your knowledge of marketing communication best practices to craft emails, ads, and web content that inspire action; create collateral such as blogs, brochures, case studies, and e-books to support all stages of the customer journey; and promote our brands via social media and event promotions that aligns with our SEO and marketing strategy.

  • Develop and write copy for print and advertising material, websites, newsletters, brochures and other print pieces, and other communications/advertising materials produced for VenueVision.
  • Follow directions, branding guidelines, and use keywords required for the SEO Strategy to write copy for our websites.
  • Assesses topic and audience for preparation of presentations, blog posts, and website content.
  • Research and verify information for topics and issues, using credible sources such as other corporations, personal interviews, Statistics, industry associations and others.
  • Apply critical and strategic thought to the development of materials and independently determine appropriate messages for assignments.
  • Write in a clear, concise style suitable for marketing materials or public information materials.
  • Edit and rewrite copy in accordance with changes requested based on SEO Strategy, corporate style and standards and space limitations.
  • Create engaging, on-brand written content for our website and a variety of social media platforms, including, but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
  • Designing or adapting graphics from brand asset libraries for use in content.
  • Sourcing visual assets, graphic elements, tools and techniques.
  • Write content to support email and social campaigns, product launches, sales activities, and event participation
  • Share customer success stories through the development of press releases, case studies, video testimonials, and blogs
  • Plan and storyboard company videos
